In John- our brother John expresses the uniqueness of Jesus Christ in these passages. He is the only one of his kind. The language used here is not adequate, but you get the idea. Jesus is the one and only! He is equal to our Father, God. He is the eternal Son. This applies to being eternal in the past as well as into the future. There is no origin of Jesus Christ.
JOHN 1:14- AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US, AND WE HAVE SEEN HIS GLORY, GLORY AS OF THE ONLY SON FROM THE FATHER, FULL OF GRACE.
JOHN 1:18- NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN GOD: THE ONLY GOD, WHO IS AT THE FATHER’S SIDE, HE HAS MADE HIM KNOWN.
JOHN 3:18- WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED, BUT WHOEVER DOES NOT BELIEVE IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY SON OF GOD.
1 JOHN 4:9- IN THIS THE LOVE OF GOD WAS MADE MANIFEST AMONG US, THAT GOD SENT HIS ONLY SON INTO THE WORLD, SO THAT WE MIGHT LIVE THROUGH HIM.
JOHN 20:31- BUT THESE ARE WRITTEN SO THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD, AND THAT BY BELIEVING YOU MAY HAVE LIFE IN HIS NAME.
In Hebrews- The author of Hebrews stresses the divine Sonship of Jesus Christ.
HEBREWS 1:3- HE IS THE RADIANCE OF THE GLORY OF GOD AND THE EXACT IMPRINT OF HIS NATURE, AND HE UPHOLDS THE UNIVERSE BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER. AFTER MAKING PURIFICATION FOR SINS, HE SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE MAJESTY ON HIGH.
In Paul-
